Vyakhyana Saram:
Azhvar is expanding what he had said in the previous pasuram, in this
pasuram and the next two pasurams.
In the previous pasuram, Azhvar said that Subramanya who is the chief of the army of the devas, came with his vahana and other instruments. In this pasuram, Azhvar states that Indra, who is the lord of the devas, along with his vahana, and the saptharishis who advance knowledge, have come. They have occupied all space leaving no gap and are waiting to pray at His divine feet. Indra, who has been placed by Him to rule the devas ("bhIShAsmAt" - Taittreeya Upanishad, Anandavalli 8-1), has come to pray at His divine feet.
Therefore, Azhvar says, You should wake up and accept their services.
